The treatment was applied by GK Hair Ambassador Keva Davis using the The Best Coco, an expert hair care treatment concentrated with Juvexin V2, COCONUT OIL, VITAMIN E AND GOJI BERRY EXTRACTS, this hair treatment works all the way to the core reviving the hair strength and shine, making it sleek and smooth for up to 5 months.
The session was broadcast live on both BehindtheChair.com and GK Hair Facebook and Youtube channels.
To achieve the best results follow the step by step guide of our amazing vegan smoothing treatment application:
Step 1:
Wash the hair with pH+ Clarifying Shampoo. Wait for three minutes before rinsing the shampoo. Apply the shampoo to the hair again to remove any buildup and open the hair cuticles, prepping the hair for the treatment. Towel dry the hair after rinsing.
Step 2:
Use the GK hair Vent Brush to comb the hair for detangling and split the sections into quadrants.
Step 3:
About 1/4-inch away from the scalp, apply The Best Coco smoothing treatment with an application brush, fully saturating it till the ends. Achieve even coverage by combing the hair and massage the hair with your fingers.
Step 4:
Maximum results of the treatment can be achieved through timely adjustments based on the client's natural hair texture.
- For clients with wavy or looser curls, process for 40 minutes.
- For clients with coarse or tighter coils, process for 60 minutes.
Step 5:
Use warm water to rinse the client's hair until the water starts running clear.
Tip: Color treated hair should be washed with GK Hair’s Moisturizing shampoo before applying the Deep Conditioner.
Apply the Deep Conditioner for five minutes and then rinse the hair with water.
Step 6:
Use GK Hair’s Ion Pro blow dryer and round brush to blow dry the hair with high tension.
Step 7:
Use the GK Hair’s One Control titanium flat iron to straighten the hair.
Tip: Pass over each section 2 - 4 times to seal the cuticle.
Step 8:
In order to maintain the treatment results for up to 5 months, your client should be sent home with GK Hair’s cruelty-free Shampoos and Conditioners.
