All participants must agree to the competition terms and conditions, including the use of GKHAIR Color products.
Liability waivers and consent for photography and video recording will be required for both participants and their models. In case the participant provides his own live female model, he shall take the responsibility to obtain the model release from a model.
GK Hair will provide each team with a live female model. Each team can bring their own live female model. All competitors and models must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. A signed model release is required.
Prior to the start of the competition, the hair length must be at least four (4) inches (10 cm) all over the model’s head.
The hair must be combed straight back at the start of the competition. Competitors may cut the hair either dry or wet and are able to wet hair again if necessary. No artificial hair is allowed.
At the start of the competition, the competitors will have 10 minutes to set up their station and will receive the same pack of GKHAIR products. Following the designated station prep time, competitors will have 3 hours with an hour for the lunch break to complete the task. Time will be announced at the close of the competition and you must stop cutting and/or styling even if the look is not complete. At their discretion, judges may disqualify a participant for cutting or styling beyond the time limit.
Each registered competitor will receive a set of GKHAIR products for competition use. These products must be used during the duration of the competition and returned immediately after.
All models’ hair must be done during the competition. Competitors are not allowed to cut, color, shape or style a model's hair before the competition begins. All manipulations with hair MUST be left on the floor and participants MUST stay at their station for the duration of the competition and judging.
All styling tools are allowed and are the responsibility of the competitor to provide. One (1) electrical outlet is provided.
The use of GK HAIR color is a must and must be done during the competition. Spray colors are forbidden. However, it is recommended that a model’s hair color has limited regrowth, fading and is beautifully blended as these factors will be taken into consideration for the overall final look.
The use of hair extensions, pieces and wigs is prohibited.
All final looks must be fashion-forward but still wearable.
